This is by far my longest post ever. It is also the most personal I have ever been on my SL blog.
As I’ve been on my somewhat forced hiatus I honestly feel like I’ve come to a realization. I just don’t miss Second Life like I wish I did. I have gone back and forth with the idea this entire time and for every reason I think of to stay, I find at least two more to move on. I made the hard decision yesterday to let my land go and with that I do feel it’s time to leave SL behind me.
Before I delve into the parts that some, if not most of you, won’t care as much for, I’ll get to the part you probably are here for. I built this look somewhat around the idea of my Void Elf Brewmaster Monk in WoW. Granted she’s not as detailed gear wise as I’d say she is in game. I felt like it did her reasonable justice for an attempt. Thankfully some badass new creations were available at this month’s We Love RolePlay to aid me in my quest.
I’ve been a lot of places I never thought that I would go. Some of them good, some of the less so. But on this day I’m reminded that I wouldn’t change a single thing. You’ll make mistakes just like I did, you’re gonna try and you’re gonna fail, more than once. But you’ll keep…
Man have I been waiting for the right idea to come along to use this song. Finally happened. I recently started watching the show Into The Badlands, yea I know I’m about 2 years behind or what not. It didn’t take very long to get into and I’m damn glad I did. After watching the entire first season I got the idea to tie it into the Tremonti song, thus ending up with this shot.
A couple of nights ago I couldn’t sleep, which happens more often than not. I tend to do my best thinking/writing/whatever you want to call it in the quiet darkness. It’s been that way as long as I can remember it. I think it’s a product of having less going on around me that let’s me run through my thoughts and then focus them.
Have you ever thought you’ve had something all figured out? Like all of the evidence you had in front of you at that moment in time was enough for you to make a call on it. Then after you thought you had made peace with it you find a missing piece. That one missing piece, whether small or large, completely throws you back in disarray. You question what you thought, what you felt, should you have felt it, and was making the decision you made the right one? I’m learning that lesson again.
This round of Pose Fair 2018 is in it’s final week now which means you shouldn’t be wasting time if you’re looking at checking it out. For this lovely dose of neon lighting I chose a simple but very suitable pose from [ west end ] Poses that I thought fit the idea in my head. If you know me, and you probably do if you’re here, then you’ve already figured out that I am showing off some more Bakaboo awesomeness for you. It’s safe to say that no matter what Ocean Blackthorne creates, I’ll wear it.
This one’s a bit off the normal course but then again I guess a lot of what I’ve written lately has been. I think it’s just a product of where I’m at on a personal level if I’m speaking honestly. Recently I’ve had conversations with a couple of friends that kind of centered on blogging and where to go from the spot that they were at. I had to sit and think about it for a while before I could muster a response that was appropriate to it.
