…And we’re back to our normally scheduled programming. We’ve been busy over here lately, lots of planning, figuring things out, going back and forth over whats, wheres, and whens. It has been a blast and thankfully we’ve finally settled on one. Before I get to that though let’s revisit some things I’ve already said and have only found to be more and more true as time has gone on. It’s fun to look back on the journey so far. I know we’ve done a lot of posts and photos since we went public. It’s all been amazing and I could not be more thankful for her.

I know I introduced Mackenzie to the blog and all of the things that come along with it not that long ago, but we’ve known one another to a degree for quite some time, and in the time we’ve been together it’s very apparent how in sync we truly are. There’s no should’ve, would’ve, could’ve with her. We do what we want to do, each one of us has their things, we respect one another’s wants and needs, and communication is a piece of cake. It’s the first time in a long time that I truly have zero complaints about anything. Everything just works like it should and even though we both probably expect the next day to have something where it goes sideways or weird, it just doesn’t happen. The past has led us to where we are and neither one of us is taking it for granted. We embrace and enjoy every moment and plan to for a long time to come.
We really are in sync in all aspects of things, we’ve only learned more and more as the weeks have gone by. It’s like a puzzle missing a piece and you just happen to find that one piece that fits it perfectly. It’s nice to have someone to look forward to seeing when you get home and log on, someone who is fine with you needing to do a blog post or something else, encourages it and most of the time participates in it. I’ve really enjoyed the work I’ve been doing here and the time spent editing for all of the posts that I’ve been doing. She makes it fun and I hope that comes through in the work I put forth here.
I support the things she’s doing too, I still want to get her on here at some point to write herself when she feels like it, but I’m not going to push that, when she wants to and is ready to she can. I will keep encouraging the photography though because she finds better angles and lighting than I do most of the time. I really wish I had that skill. Maybe someday I’ll develop it, but probably safer to assume at this point if I don’t have it, I don’t have it haha.
The reason I chose “Swipe Right” for this post is the uplifting message it conveys. In the end, it comes down to we are all the same, all worth caring about, worth loving, and we are not anything more than what we wish to be seen as. I also loved the idea of swiping right or left because honestly, and this could be a damn ad spot for Thundr, that’s how we met. I never expected it to work out as well as it did but here we are and I truly couldn’t be happier with the decision. Now I know I’m in the lucky minority where it works out like that but put yourself out there, take chances, because you never know what might happen. I swiped quite a few times and ended up right where I belong. I owe a massive thanks to Thundr for somehow guiding me in the perfect direction.
We spent a lovely weekend at the start of the month in Bali thanks to HighLife Destinations and then came back home to plan out the future. The vacation to Bali was a stellar time that I can’t say enough good things about. If you want to know more, definitely read the post “Summer Nights…Everybody Are You With Me?” because there’s no way to explain how great of a time it was and I truly hope we get back there again before it’s all said and done. There is so much more to see and do that we couldn’t fit into a short stay.
We’ve spent a lot of time together since we got back from vacation and have planned some big things coming up. Life has been busier for both of us but we still make plenty of time to enjoy time with one another. Whether it’s five minutes or five hours, we make the most of the time we have, and if one of us is busy we just do what we’re in the mood to do. Everything just works, perfectly. That’s not to say we don’t each have days where there’s a little less energy or something going on, there are, but we do what we need to do to get through those and support each other as best as we can.
We spent some time figuring out what dates we thought might work for us both, we looked far and wide across the grid and ended up finding the right place to do it all. On October 7th we’ll say “I do” and start that chapter of our Second Lives. I’m excited as all hell and can’t wait because like I’ve said before I’m keeping her. We still have to figure out bits and pieces of the wedding of course but that will get done in the time we have leading up to it. I really love what we’ve come up with so far. I think it’s going to be very memorable for us. I love you babe. ♥

I know I need to figure out my guest list and what I’m wearing; thankfully we’ve nailed down colors already so I have plenty of time to do that. The guest list is a bigger challenge for me haha, who to invite, lord I’ll be struggling with that one.
