Well, that didn’t take long. A couple of days ago I was writing my first official post for The Arcade, sending Mackenzie back to school, and wondering what I was going to find when I started digging through everything else waiting for me from the September round. Apparently the answer was a bedroom, a bunch of plants, some mushrooms, and an excuse for the two of us to have a pillow fight. I’d say we’re off to a fantastic start.

I’m incredibly excited because this marks my first post with TS-Creations as a sponsor. Fantasy has always been one of my favorite corners of Second Life. I don’t visit it every week, but whenever I do, I want to disappear into it completely. If I’m putting on armor, I don’t want it to feel like cosplay. I want it to feel like I’m stepping into another world entirely. That’s exactly what happened here.

For a long time, the rainbow flag was the symbol of Pride. Created by Gilbert Baker in 1978, it became a banner that represented the LGBTQIA+ community as a whole and remains the image many people immediately think of when Pride Month arrives each June. Over time, additional flags were created to represent specific identities and experiences within the broader community. While the rainbow flag remains an important symbol of unity, these newer flags tell stories that are uniquely their own. So while this post isn’t officially part of the challenge itself, it felt like a natural continuation of the journey.

Traditionally, green represents nature on the Pride flag. At first glance, that seems pretty straightforward. Nature surrounds us every day. Trees, flowers, forests, gardens, and everything else that grows around us. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that green isn’t really about nature itself.
