We’re Lost In This, But It Feels Like Home

Where to start, well this idea started as a GIF on Facebook during one of our many conversations. It took a little while to get around to it with everything else going on but today we took advantage of some free time and put the idea. Oh by we, I mean Aria because really I got dressed and that’s about all the work I did in terms of setup. It was fun to do because we enjoy time together and it’s interesting to see how the idea comes out from two different viewpoints. You’ll see hers soon, if not before you see mine, time-dependent of course.

It’s been a good month thus far. I guess in a way it’s an April showers bring May flowers kind of thing or something. Yes, I’m aware of how corny that sounds but oh well, it’s true. I’m not one to believe in jinxing things so I just say what I think. If something’s going to happen then it’ll happen regardless of what I say. As I’ve probably said before things have been going great. I seriously have nothing to complain about (ok fine the weather here where I live could stop going from 40s to 70s, that’d be awesome). It’s just purely been good.

I would have never expected things to go as well as they have. In fact, my normal course of action is to plan for the worst and hope for the best. I really didn’t plan for the worst here though. There was no reason to because the plan was it was either going to happen or it was not. There was no fallback, no if it fails, it was boom or bust. It’s been boom after boom after boom. Maybe they’ll be a bust eventually, but I think we’re both smart enough to work that out if it comes. Communication. Key to everything.

To all of you who I’ve recently come to know or cross paths with, I promised you all I would do my best and take care of her. I think I have so far and that’s not going to change anytime soon. I wasn’t lying to you then and I’m not now. I certainly hope that we all get to spend more time in the near future because the people I’ve met so far have been nothing short of great.

Do you ever have that feeling where you just feel like you’ve found that person, the one it just all seems to work with? It feels like this, my person. Get out there, take the risk you’re afraid to take, break some rules, and lay it on the line. You have to do it for yourself and you alone. Don’t let an anchor keep you in place if it’s not the place you feel like you deserve to be. Home has never been more home than it is now and it’s because I let go of my anchors. For the first time in a long time, the future is a beautiful unknown and I love it. <#
