The idea for this photo came about from both of, us really. We had talked about our first night meeting and how it went, obviously way better than either of us could have expected. The idea of recreating the looks and setting up an actual photo of that night came and went over the weeks and we finally decided to sit down and really get it done. I remember wanting to make sure I had my house at the time ready and looking good because she was coming over by me. I wanted to make a good impression because I really didn’t know how it would go. I knew I wanted it to be comfortable at least.
I liked our outfits from going out the night before and said we should shoot a picture tomorrow for our one month because we looked really good. As soon as she logged on she was ready to go and got right into getting this shot. She shot one as well which I’m sure you’ll see show up soon on her feed. I’m just grateful to have found someone who fits me and who I fit with so well. This is just one of those moments I don’t want to forget. I am yours.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, to the point I made her stand around for like four hours instead of sitting down. She gave me some shit for that but it was all in good fun. It’s funny because I can think back and remember that we got to talking about me leaving enough space for Jesus between us all night long. I distinctly remember saying, “I think Jesus is allergic to me at this point so he probably ain’t interfering.” I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we sat around the firepit and I didn’t know if she would sit off on her own. To my surprise, she was on my lap and snuggled up for the last while of our first night together. We talked for about five or six hours that night and have been inseparable ever since.
It’s now been two months since we became officially engaged and if you asked me and I didn’t know better, I’d say it’s been years. I’ve enjoyed every moment of our time together and look forward to all of the time that lies ahead of us. It’s been nothing short of amazing and our wedding date is closing in quickly. Don’t worry though we’ve been good about getting the things we need to complete for that to go as smoothly as possible.
I’m really looking forward to being able to call her mine for good. I do still have to write my vows which she now knows reading this, but I still have plenty of time. I’ve got some ideas of what I want to say so that’s a good start but I definitely needed to sit down and make sure I have it perfect. They’ll be good baby, I promise!
It’s an extremely fitting idea for our month day photo because six months ago we couldn’t have told you where we’d be now. That first night would set the stage for the most enjoyable journey I have ever been a part of. It is crazy when I think back on it and I’m sure she would agree that the two of us matching on Thundr, actually getting to spend time together, and everything that’s followed would have been impossible to predict. I mean the bar at that point for her was someone who could actually hold a conversation and I wasn’t even sure I could do that.
That’s right, we’re keeping the trend going of shooting a photo for the next “month day.” The previous two are “I’ve Been Lost, I’ve Been Found” and “Nothing Ordinary, You’re Extraordinary.” It’s crazy to think we’re already to the third one. We are now married and have Baby Spiritor, who is very much on the way. So Mackenzie and I decided that for this month’s picture, we would incorporate her into the idea and set up this shot. It’s crazy to think it’s officially only the third month because it truly does feel like it’s been a lifetime.
It was a super cute scene to put together, and we both managed to get shots we loved within the first five minutes of shooting, which is a rarity if you know me at all. I always look through about forty EEP settings and end up spending way more time on that than I need to. In the end, I used one that she was using and just shifted my lighting a little bit since we obviously use different settings. We leaned heavily into the pink vibes of a baby girl, and I think it turned out fantastic. Here’s to three months of love, kindness, support, appreciation, and so much more. I cannot wait to see what the days, months, and years ahead of us hold!
We talked about basically anything you can think of that night. Our tastes in music, DMX being over the fireplace (he still is to this day), terraforming (and how much we both love it), and so much more. She got a full tour of the house that I had just finished putting together so I could have her over. There wasn’t a room we didn’t look at that night either. I got her approval (and pretty rave reviews) on my man cave that took over the entire basement then. It now lives on in our new home, just in a different space.
Yep, we’re talking the purple and gold mhmm. I told her then that it was the one part of a house that I wanted and I would give up anything else in the house if I could keep that. Let’s be honest though I would have given that up for her if I had to, no question about that. Thankfully she’s never once asked me to and has even encouraged using more space than I planned to. She may not care about basketball but she cares about me and the fact that I love it means it’s part of our space together.
This month is an extra special one because we’ve officially welcomed our little bundle of joy into the world. That’s right on November 11th, 2023 at 1:24am, Charlotte Adeline Spiritor, was born. Both Mackenzie and Charlotte are doing extremely well as you can tell and we are both overjoyed at having her here finally. It’s been amazing to experience together and I couldn’t be happier having her with us finally.
I had to show her the kitchen, which I cannot stand putting together and will do anything to avoid doing again. It was the dust bunny and con. Rosemary kitchen which is amazing but has tons of tiny little pieces. Of course, she had to look to see if there was a bedroom because we all look for that even if we won’t admit it. Oddly enough it was probably the least put-together room in the house but we somewhat decorated it while we toured the house that night. Get your minds out of the gutter, not like that, like actually rezzed items in the room. We probably looked at like five different beds and at the end, I bought a new one anyway. From there we decided to find a place to finally sit down after hours of standing and walking around the house.
We’re here now in December and will get to celebrate our first Christmas together in SecondLife. If you had told me that six months ago I wouldn’t have believed it. We’ve mostly finished decorating the house for the holidays and shot our first Christmas photo, it’s going to be so nice to spend it together. In the months since that first photo we’ve taken many more, different ideas, new formats, and unique looks, it’s refreshing to have a partner who truly appreciates the work you put in and puts in just as much to make things great. Sometimes the idea is mine, sometimes it’s hers, and it really is a collaboration even if she tries to tell you I did the work of setting things up.
I don’t think I’ve ever connected with someone as easily and quickly as we did that night. I know she wasn’t completely sure I would come back the next day to hang out but I knew I would. Even after an hour of sleep, there was no way I wasn’t coming back to see her again. She can tell you I definitely did and we’ve talked every day since then, one way or another. I’m so proud of the work I see her put in daily on the things she wants to accomplish still. When I say she’s an inspiration to me, you best believe it, even on my hardest days I know I can get through it because she’s there at the end of it, even after her own long days. Her patience and kindness know no bounds. Even when she has her own 100 things to do she makes time to be part of my crazy ideas, listen to me ramble about anything, and read all of these posts.
We’ve grown together in these last six months, she is truly my missing puzzle piece in both worlds. I love you so incredibly much my Mackenzie. Here’s to many more days, months, and years in our story. I am so thankful that we found one another, that no matter what has been put in front of us, we’ve gotten through it together, and most importantly for the love, happiness, and light that you bring into my life every single day.
