Some places never quite let go of the people who once called them home. For our second Salem 2026 feature, Mackenzie and I step into Milkmotion’s The Drowned Village, bringing together ghostly fashion, forgotten memories, and Sleep Token’s Atlantic for a story about what remains when everything else has disappeared beneath the water.
Salem is back in Second Life, and seven years after I first wandered through as a shopper, I’m returning for the first time as an official Prism Events blogger. This time Mackenzie is coming with me, and somewhere between a dress, a little magic and a room full of things I’m probably better off not touching, our first Salem story came together.
(Warning: everything below these next two paragraphs is very explicit. You have now been warned.) We’re back in the Let’s Lose Some Sleep post style today. You know what that means: things are about to get steamy in here, as you can see. After a couple of months apart and a lot of thinking and growing on both of our parts, we’re back. I know for me I spent a lot of time figuring out what I wanted. What I needed. If things needed to change, what were they? After talking quite a few times, she had done the same and wanted to know what conclusions I had come to. So we talked through it and, at the end of it, realized that we’re way better together than not.
