We are back with another round of From The Vault. This photo was taken on November 14th, 2015 and I took multiple shots of it at the time because I was getting funky shadows on some things so I needed like twelve different ones to make it all work. I never did get around to using it for anything big and that is a benefit now. Being able to go back into these old photos and see what can be done is always fun and challenges me to try and make the best of what I have. I can’t go back and shoot it again so I have to work with what I took that day.
I remember using part of this image for a Happy New Year’s post back in 2015 as well, but it was heavily cropped down. I don’t think I did a ton with it to make it stand out at all either. So in going back to my not so little stockpile of snapshots, this was a natural choice to edit up a little more and have some fun with. I stuck to the pink vibe of both outfits and the overall lighting of the shot and just kind of amped it up to get the effect I wanted it to have. I’ve been enjoying editing a lot more in the last couple of months and I think that’s shown in not only the amount of things that have shown up, but in the quality of those things as well. At least in my opinion.
I’ll have some more new stuff coming soon I promise, just felt like fitting a “From The Vault” shot in while I’m working on other things was a good move. There is definitely new stuff in the works too, life is just a little bit busy right now so I’m trying to keep a balance between it all. It would be nice if it would slow down a little bit eventually though. Such is life though right? Until next time…
