I wasn’t planning on doing another post prior to our return to Las Vegas this Sunday but I got the itch to do another fun summer themed one. I am still both shocked and humbled by the reaction to the last photo, and I truly mean that. I never expect any of these to turn into bigger things than they are and that one blew up. That is purely because of all of you. Some will say “well you took the picture and edited it” and yes that is true, but I just did that for myself. You all faving it on Flickr like you have and making it one of the best received photos I’ve done is all you. Your love for it got Second Life to notice it and in the event you missed it, let me show you what you’ve accomplished.

Again that is because of all of you, not me, I shot it, edited it, you lit it up and Second Life was epic about it. Things like that make you love our little virtual world just a bit more. I know it’s motivated me to be more on the ball when it comes to doing this and doing it the way I like to do it. It’s why I shot another photo even though I was going to wait. I chose to go back to the water, but this time alone. Well alone if you are not counting the four dolphins and my two bird friends who showed up. Summer here in the real world has been a roller coaster of different temperatures mixed with storms. Going from 70 to 100 in a day is a hell of a pain, and we’ve done quite a few times now. Thankfully my Second Life summer is a lot more controlled in terms of comfort levels. Still we need the sunscreen, no one wants a burn again right?

So I threw on my favorite swim trunks from Salt & Pepper, grabbed a bit of Izzie’s sunscreen, packed my Amitie brand surfboard and headed down to the ocean. Little did I know that there would be visitors eventually. Not a soul in sight, just me and the water, what a peaceful day right? It was, it truly was. Until the dolphins showed up, and no, not the Miami Dolphins dorks, the real ones. They reminded me of the Jian one’s I had seen at another spot swimming around. They didn’t bother too much. Give em a little bit of attention if they want it and they kind of hang around and have some fun playing with you. But then the birds showed up. The birds. They were in need of some TLC apparently because they would not relent, no matter what I did or said. Sit here, sit there, chirp here, bite there. By the end of the day the toucan had relaxed, and the parrot stopped parroting, but damn do his nails sting after an hour or so.

All in all it was a great summer day back at the water. Now I must get back and pack things up for the trip to Vegas. You can pack for three days in like four hours right? I have got this don’t I? Wait don’t I? Let’s cross our fingers and hope. I’ll be sure to take many more pictures and get them around for all of you amazing people. We’ll try to stay out of trouble and you do the same okay. Fireworks explode remember that. I don’t want to come back to missing digits or anything. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday.
