I am back and boy do I have a lot of new things today! Cyber Fair has started, Collabor88 is open, Kawaii Secrets is open. We are busy busy busy. We also have a new sponsor, one you’ll know well from previous collaborations with TANAKA. I’ve often blogged TANAKA x TREVOR collaborations and if you don’t remember them you can find them here.
I happened to be in my blogotex checking post deadlines and saw the application for TREVOR there. I thought man I love what they’ve done together, why not take a chance and see if I can make the cut. I didn’t know if I would, but I knew I worked hard when there were collaborations and effort is always a big thing. I am thankful to be a part of TREVOR‘s blogger team and I certainly hope I deliver to the best of my abilities.
Let’s start with TREVOR because it’s the first official post as a sponsor and that’s a big fucking deal, right? I had a lot of options because, like TANAKA, TREVOR does many unique creative things that we can do a ton with. I absolutely love that side of doing this job and when creators make incredible things that really push limits and help you go into areas that are new it leads to extraordinary work.
That’s how I got here. I saw another collaboration TREVOR did with REKT, who is a new brand to me, but like the prior TNK x TRV collabs, the [REKT x TREVOR] collab was a huge win. I wanted to go with the cyber vibe since Cyber Fair features heavily this time and the [REKT x TREVOR] ARM_GU was the perfect compliment to the other items I had in the idea. They have a ton of options that you can see below in the video and obviously, I went a more tame route this time, but these bad boys are ready for battle.
Then we’ve got not one, but TWO new things from TANAKA, see even when it’s not TANAKA x TREVOR I end up with them together. It’s a testament to how awesome they are and I love seeing their work, whether together or apart. TANAKA has the TAKOYAKI at this month’s round of Kawaii Secrets (Opens Sept 4, I honestly do not know when it closes) and it comes in multiple flavors for both your mouth and hand. I chose the mouth option since my hands were busy with the other featured item.
The WAGASA UMBRELLA from TANAKA is at this round of Cyber Fair (Sept 6-Sept 26). It comes in multiple color options as well as a fatpack-only version that is to die for. I highly recommend getting over to Cyber Fair and checking it out. Not only can you find TANAKA at Cyber Fair, but you can also find this awesome Futuristic Vending Machine from Mura. I knew when I was using the TAKOYAKI that this machine was a must-have for the shoot. It comes in multiple color options and is insanely affordable. I’ll be checking out a lot more from Mura in the near future myself.
Last but not least the scene! We venture over to this month’s round of Collabor88 to find our scene. I of course, like most if not all of you, but a lot of FOXCITY. Satomi never fails to deliver and the new Fluid sets are insanely cool. I opted for this one and used the rain because I wanted to use the WAGASA UMBRELLA, but the FOXCITY Mens – Perfect Stranger poses also have an umbrella to use should you need it.
