It has been a very productive couple of months in terms of blogging, especially for me. I’m sure those of you who have been longtime readers (if you’ve been around that long thanks!) noticed the uptick in productivity. I have completely enjoyed it too and I hope it continues for the indefinite future. Things have been growing on the blog front and obviously having Mackenzie in my life has made a huge change both in terms of mood and motivation. I haven’t been this focused blogging in years so it’s a very welcome change that I am grateful for. I’ve added new sponsors too which is always great and I couldn’t be more excited to have them involved here, I really appreciate the opportunity they’ve given me and showcasing their work to the best of my abilities. In the past couple of months, I’ve teamed up with [Bad Unicorn], Thundr, and TREVOR.
Those are in addition to my long-term partners [MAGNIFICENT], Bakaboo, and TANAKA. I know it’s a wide variety of content creators and designers and that’s what I love about it the most. They all provide me with so many amazing unique opportunities to go in different directions. You know I like to keep it interesting and do something new when I can and these brands along with the newest ones have given me even more to work with. It’s humbling that they trust me to showcase their work, and of course thankful to all of you who read, comment, favorite, or even view a post or photo. I could never thank everyone enough for it, but I promise you I notice it all, your time matters, and I try my best to show you all the love in return.
I can’t thank everyone and not specifically thank my partner Mackenzie for all that she does to motivate me. She may not realize it but she’s brought a major breath of fresh air to my writing, the photography, everything that goes into making this all happen. She’s also a very willing participant in anything I want to shoot or need a hand with, and I’ve noticed you all seem to enjoy her presence as much as I do. I’ll make sure she’s in the next one, two, or twenty. I do have a few ideas that I want to shoot with her so you’ll see them soon.
Alright now that I’ve been reflective or introspective or whatever you want to call it, let’s get down to it. I know football season is starting up and trust me I’m excited about it. Granted I don’t have high expectations for my team, but it’s still awesome to have it back and see what happens. You never know. But today we’re talking about the sport that I’ve written more about than anything other. Basketball. You know I love it. You also know I bleed purple and gold, forever a Laker faithful.
At this month’s round of The Mens Dept, [Bad Unicorn] has the Hoop Shooter which 100% reminds me of the days shooting hoops outside with my friends pretending I was my favorite player. I sure as hell wasn’t but it didn’t stop me from enjoying it. So when I saw it the memories of gold headbands, purple sweat bands, arm sleeves, jerseys, basketball shoes, you name it, came flooding back.
