Music. The soundtrack of our lives? It’s probably true for most of us, at least in my opinion. I’ve always used it as a tool of some sort. Whether it amped me up for raid, galvanized me for some struggles on the horizon, or just plain relaxed me at late hours of the night. It’s my therapy.

The inspiration behind this one was a song I heard the other day. “The Madness” by Art of Anarchy. It’s kind of fitting that their new singer is Scott Stapp, who I am sure you know from Creed. Love them or hate them you’ve heard a song or two. Admittedly I am a rather big fan of both Creed and Stapp. For as long as I can remember the connection I’ve felt to the lyrics of the songs has been deeper then to most other bands/singers. Maybe it has to do my way of thinking I’m not entirely sure. I sat down and listened to the song and while it’s not Creed or Scott’s solo stuff, it did have a good sound and lyrically fell in line with what I’d previously known.
It made me think about visualizing “The Madness” and thus I set out on this photo. It certainly helped that Memento Mori is in it’s current round and the Halloween madness is full swing around the grid. The Creature mask from Le Morte was an easy first piece to work with. I knew it would give me the darker side that I pictured in my head. I combined that with The Horror!~ Corpse Scars & Bruises-Shattered RARE to torture my Clef de Peau skin. I was going in the right direction but there was still something missing. Regular eyes just weren’t going to cut it this time. Then I remembered that Portia and I had seen Le Poppycock’s Dark Matter eye gacha at The Liaison Collaborative. After more tries then I care to admit I managed to get the Undead RARE. The look was complete.
