I realize that it’s been a pretty big day for blogging today and for those of you who have caught each of my posts in the last twenty for hours and NOT lost your marbles entirely – THANK YOU!
It’s been such a busy month (yes, I know I say this all the time but hey, I’m a busy girl!) and I STILL have one more post I want to get out today after this one. Your patience is greatly appreciated
So this post is going to be short and very sweet and, really, sandwiched between two pictures of my man Lucky and myself, how could it not be?
We’ve been working very hard on our sim lately, enjoying the different pace that a medieval styling offers from time to time. We’ve started role playing in King’s Landing as Lord and Lady Glover, close family and banner men to Lord Stark of Winterfell. None of our story is taking place in the actual time of the books and HBO series; the sim storyline is taking place in a time prior to the all of those wacky events but, since it IS taking place in the Seven Kingdoms, I expect we’ll be party to some wacky events of our own devising very soon.
You’ll probably also notice in this picture that *gasp!* I finally took the plunge myself and purchased a mesh head from CATWA. I was on the fence about it for a long time but for everyday SL and most especially for photography purposes, it really is such a joy to have. Even my best shots before these ones required a lot of editing to tidy up but in the pictures above (Lucky’s) and below (mine), we barely had to touch our faces during processing. Wonder of wonders!
Now, I know there are limitations. I probably won’t be able to use the mesh head on the runway but I’ve been tweaking a system shape to look very similar to what I have here (you’ll hear about the entire process in early June, I hope). For photography, I’m not going to be able to layer eye makeup the way I like to do but thankfully with CATWA‘s omega compatibility, I might just start making my own stuff for important stylings.
Also, status update: Lucky is having a blast with his new mesh head too! Doesn’t he look dreamy in the new(ish) Davos shirt from [Stitched?] *swoon!*
I know this post is coming in VERY last minute too and I’m so sorry about that. We’ve had some sick people in the family and little ones sleeping over many more nights than anticipated and I AM WAY BEHIND ON EVERYTHING! AAAHHH!!!
Oh right, my POINT is that most of what you see in the above pictures can STILL be purchased at We Love Role Play, some at a discount, but only until the end of the night. I’m not certain WHEN the sim is going to close down for the next round (opening June 4th at 12 SLT) but *checks watch* you still have time!
