I, Lucky Spiritor, have a confession to make…I’m a huge comic fan, more Marvel then DC though. Since Marvel really started putting their all into their movies I’ve been so completely into them. It all started with Iron Man and everything since then has been gold. At least in my opinion of course. Then Marvel decided to start doing some television series. They started out with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which I have to say I still haven’t managed to watch. I have all of it, but laziness has prevailed there. Agent Carter followed that, airing during mid-season breaks for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Then the one that pulled me into the TV series hysteria. Daredevil. The movie version back in 2003 with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner was an alright movie, but when you compare it to anything Iron Man-Present it just doesn’t measure up. They chose to go a darker, grittier, more modern feel which has paid off greatly. I pretty much binged the entire first season when I found it on Netflix and have watched multiple times since then. Now what made me come up with this idea was just yesterday season 2 of Daredevil went live. I’m only a few episodes into it but it has already lived up to the first season. If you like the Marvel films or comics in general I recommend giving it a look. (Just to finish up, there is also Jessica Jones which started last year on Netflix. It’s really great too!)
Putting together the look was a bit tricky as there aren’t a whole lot of Daredevil style costumes in Second Life and I am not a super intelligent mesh creator. I chose to go with Matt Murdock’s every day look instead. It was mostly modeled off of the poster for season 1 (which you can see to the right.) I pulled out my always useful Dandy suit from Deadwool which worked great for the lawyer look. I found some nice blood and bruises to enhance the look and topped it off with a cane from [ht+]. It’s really well made with color options and an animation as well. The biggest challenge was figuring out the pose and the angle for the shot. I decided to use a brand new *PosESioN* pose from the Manu set, which will be available at Men Only Monthly starting tomorrow at 7am SLT! I think it turned out quite well!
