…and full of terrors.” We all know that line, well at least those of us who are Game Of Thrones fans. I have to thank Portia for helping form this idea with me. She talked me into looking deep into the fire, to see what might be there.

The Night...

I’ve been a huge Game Of Thrones fan since the show started. I admittedly have never read any of the books. I’ve been told they’re great but as someone who doesn’t read often that they would probably not be an easy place to start. So last night I had the itch to put something together that did NOT involve a suit or tuxedo for a change. I was having a tough time until Portia reminded me that I had most of the Jon Snow style outfit from TURB. I forgot that I had played the machine earlier in the month at The Fantasy Gacha Carnival. We got really busy with things right after that so a few things got put on the back burner.

The idea came together pretty quickly from there. A quick decision to base it on The Wall and then my asking her to be part of it. She decided to do a Melisandre type styling for it. I think it turned out amazing and I promise we’re going to add a better shot of her styling (along with the credits for it) hopefully tomorrow [UPDATE: You can find them HERE] . I went with the The Wolf outfit since our idea of the Red Woman involved her swaying Jon to gaze into the fire. I added the Northern Cape from PFC because I have loved it since the moment I got it and when you think of Jon that cape is iconic, at least to me. Throw in the Longclaw Sword and a very Kit Harrington inspired hair from Dura and you have a pretty convincing look.

I could go on more about building the scene, and the time I played in Photoshop jazzing up the fur on the cape (which was a lot more time then I’d like to admit), but that wouldn’t be much fun. I’ll add a few small notes though. I’m still very new to the blog world and I’m very much enjoying challenging myself with different things. I can blog a suit like I have or the every day types of things and it’s relatively easy. Things like this are fun and yet push me to grow my skills and improve in any way I can. It’s amazingly cool and I thank you for being along on this ride so far, it means a great deal to me. Also, she didn’t convince me to trust that fire or those sneaky words of hers.
