It seems like it was just yesterday that I posted “I’ve Been Lost, I’ve Been Found” but it was surprisingly exactly a month ago today. Mackenzie and I have often talked about how it feels like we have known each other forever. It truly does too, whether you believe in past lives, fate, reincarnation, whatever it may be, I feel like I’ve known her for all of time.
It’s now been two months since we became officially engaged and if you asked me and I didn’t know better, I’d say it’s been years. I’ve enjoyed every moment of our time together and look forward to all of the time that lies ahead of us. It’s been nothing short of amazing and our wedding date is closing in quickly. Don’t worry though we’ve been good about getting the things we need to complete for that to go as smoothly as possible.
I’m really looking forward to being able to call her mine for good. I do still have to write my vows which she now knows reading this, but I still have plenty of time. I’ve got some ideas of what I want to say so that’s a good start but I definitely needed to sit down and make sure I have it perfect. They’ll be good baby, I promise!
The idea to shoot a photo was all hers too. I, of course, was totally up for it because anytime I can shoot something with her it’s excellent. It takes on even more importance when we’re doing something special to commemorate a milestone or something we both love and this is both of those.
She found a good spot at home to set up, we picked out the pose from Secret Poses (you can find it now at the main store, it’s brand new and amazing!) and figured out how we wanted it to look and each shot our own version of it. You can see her take below.
I still wish I could get the angles and depth she does in her photos. It’s just not one of my skills I guess. I’m going to keep telling her though that she’s got a talent for this and someday talk her into popping on here. Maybe I can get her to do some guest appearances and co-blog a post or two to see what she thinks.
I’d be failing at blogging if I didn’t highlight what she’s wearing too, because she took the time to do her credits like I mentioned yesterday. Just the way I prefer them and ready to go so I could do what I do. I take years to line up a shot I like so she gets all her credits done while I’m being pickier than I need to be and has them done by the time I figure out my angle.
Onto the styling though! She made her way to this month’s round of Kustom9 and picked up a few things that are in these shots. I’ll work my way from the top because why the hell not right. Stealthic‘s newest release Rush felt like a perfect hair when I saw it and she loved it when she put it on. I’m personally a fan of how comfortable it looks while maintaining the style that it has.
She snuck back over there yesterday and picked up Blossie‘s new Belinda top, which does have pants that go with it, but not in this shot! Usually, I’ll match her to make a shot work but she changed up her colors and look to fit with my “laid back Lucky” look. I’m a fan of the detail on the top for very obvious reasons.
Lastly, and one I know I have to mention, is OSMIA’s Winnie Wide Leg Jeans. Why do I know I have to mention them, because she specifically said she was going to be going back to get more colors because she loved them. I had a feeling she might when I first saw them too.
