First and foremost, may Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace. I send my condolences to my United Kingdom family and friends on what is not only a loss for them, but a loss on a global scale. It’s one of those things you know is coming eventually due to age, but still one that shocks you when it finally does. I’m young enough, as are most of us, to say that the only monarch I’ve known is Queen Elizabeth II. I hope she rests peacefully and reunites with her loved ones on the other side.
