Well, well, due to some circumstances in the real world I decided to jump into an idea I had a week or two ago. We’re not diving into the real world stuff tonight, I’ll get to that eventually in another post. Now in my last post I talked about having something new in terms of post formats and while this isn’t the one I was referring to in the prior post, it is one of the two I thought about. Over the years I, like many of you I’m sure, have taken many photographs that I never edited or did anything with. Why did I not do something with them, who knows really? I would sometime shoot something at the same time as someone else just to see what kind of look I could find in contrast to theirs, sometimes I would just randomly take a shot to take a shot.
I was digging through my photos folder the other day and realized how many I have sitting around that just never saw the light of day. I thought about it and figured in the time I’m not working on something current, why not go back and do an edit on a photo I’ve had for ages and see what I can do with it. This is the first of those entries. I believe (and this is a pretty accurate guess) that this dates back to February of 2016. Yes I keep photos from even that far back and further. If I’ve taken a photo you can bet that I still have the snapshots and the PSD that I did as I worked on it. Why keep them? I don’t know, but for fun things like this it pays off. Now I didn’t use the PSD that I had on this one because it being over six years later I had more skill and a better idea than at the time.
Yes the photo size is certainly not the size I take them at now but it was good enough to have a bit of fun with. I don’t recall what we were doing at the time this was taken outside of it very obviously being an idea centered around a form of a “Star Wars Sith Queen”, or that’s at least what I called the folder. Maybe she’s one of Mother Talzin’s Nightsisters? If you’re not sure who Mother Talzin is or who the Nightsisters are, you can check out the Star Wars Wiki. I could be completely wrong but I’m pretty sure that it was shot on Star Wars sim of some type out there in 2016. There are many more to come, when there’s free time and an idea for one of them. I started with this because I had the idea of it already together and it was just the work to get to the end result.
We’ll be calling this post format “From The Vault” because that’s what I call my photo storage and it’s probably accurate as hell. There are clearly no credits because I didn’t write that down then and there is no way I can get them now. So you can enjoy it for what it is, you can ignore it, whatever you choose. At the end of the day it’s a fun short format I can use to bring old photos into the now. I promise the other new format I have planned is ready to go, I just need to shoot the photo and finish out the writing, but the skeleton is ready. SoonTM
