Do you ever just feel like you got it right on something? Something you didn’t necessarily plan for or even think would work? If I’m honest it’s happened a couple of times that I can recall. Most of the time it’s smaller things that kind of just work out and if you’re the kind of person those things matter to it can change your entire day. I have learned to appreciate those small things a lot more, not only for what they bring me, but what they bring others. I think we tend to overlook how much those little things can add up and what it might bring to someone else’s day, week, month, etc.
Now don’t get me wrong, the grand gestures are still a great thing. But not everything has to be some HUGE thing to get the result you want it to. Sometimes it’s just a few minutes of stringing words together. Sometimes it’s building something that isn’t the Sistine Chapel or painting the Mona Lisa. Other times it’s just relaxing listening to rain or watching a movie (since I have a backlog of way too many at this point). Hell there’s even time where it’s just being around while your significant other is working on something and you’re just there. Company is a nice thing to have. There are plenty of other things you wouldn’t think about when you are too focused on yourself, those are just the ones off the top of my head.
I had a bit of fun with this picture. Playing around with different things and taking tips from my better half. Much to learn and improve upon but I’ll get there. She finished hers wayyyyyyyyy before I finished mine and that’s something I want to work more on as time goes. Seeing how others work and what they do has always been cool and you can never stop trying to improve somewhere. I kind of, sort of, think she’s making me better. Oh before I forget too, I left some lemonade out on the counter for ya’ll. Seem a bit thirsty and with the warmer weather on the way I’d hate for that to persist.
