WHY CONNECT FLICKR?

Flickr needs your permission first.

Flickr does not let another tool read or change your photos without authorization. Connect Flickr sends you to Flickr itself, where you sign in and approve access. Your Flickr password never passes through LuckySpiritor.com and we never see it.

Write permission is required because the final Apply step can add the tags you approve. Connecting Flickr does not change a photo. Review is still a dry run, and nothing is written until you explicitly press Apply.

WHAT DO WE KEEP?

Your Flickr content is not our database.

Flickr Tools may retain useful tag ideas, creator/brand names, and verified Flickr identity basics used by the People directory so future suggestions and people matches can work. It does not retain your photos, titles, descriptions, existing tag lists, profile content, or other photo content as part of the tagging library.

While Flickr is connected, the tool must temporarily keep the authorization credentials and minimum account identifier Flickr requires to make that connection work. Those are operational connection data, not material used to train the tag library, and Disconnect removes the browser's saved authorization.

A few details I cannot safely guess.

WHY PHOTO TYPE + PRESETS?

Different photos need different tag families.

A fashion portrait, couple photo, decor scene, and landscape should not all receive the same generic pile of tags. Photo type establishes the useful baseline.

Suggested presets layer in more specific tag groups for the purpose or style of the image. They are suggestions, not commands. Pick what actually fits.

WHO'S IN THE PHOTO?

People are different from ordinary tags.

If another person actually appears in your photo, Flickr Tools can help identify them and use Flickr's real people-tagging system. Add a person because they are in the picture, not because they made something you are wearing or happen to be mentioned in the post.

If Flickr Tools already knows the person, it can reuse that verified match. If it does not, you can help identify them. Flickr needs a public member identifier to attach the actual Flickr account to a photo, so verified identity basics such as the Flickr username/member ID may be retained in the shared People directory. We do not keep their photos, activity, profile content, or build a profile about them.

REVIEW BEFORE APPLY

The 75-tag limit is part of the math.

Flickr Tools separates new suggestions from tags that are already there or effectively equivalent, then keeps anything beyond Flickr's 75-tag limit out of the proposed set.

Think of Review as the dry run. It shows the plan without changing the photo. Apply is the live/write step, and it only writes the tags you just reviewed to the Flickr account you connected.

THE USEFUL PART

It can get better as people use it.

Shared, verified knowledge can make familiar brands, events, and Flickr identities easier to recognize over time. A one-off custom tag does not automatically become a global truth, and a person is only banked as a verified Flickr identity when there is enough information to resolve the actual member.

That is the deal: you provide the context the tool cannot know safely, Flickr Tools handles the repetitive tagging work, and you approve the answer.
