First off Happy Friday the 13th. I know I know it’s a unlucky number and day and all that bs that goes along with it. But it’s not for me. 13 has been my lucky number for as long as I’ve known and so far today has been a win. Well besides the cold and snow outside but it’s January in the Midwest so what else is new right? If the 13th is not for you just avoid some mirrors, black cats, and the like for a few more hours. Perspectives are always a fun topic to work from and I found myself pulling the alt out to stand in for this, because why the hell not. It won’t be a long post since it’s more of me just running with an idea that hit me than showcasing one particular thing. I’ve written about perspectives a few times here in the past and this time around I found myself there from some interesting information that came to me. Honesty is a key piece in any relationship, be it romantic, family, friend, etc. When you don’t have that it kind of erodes everything else you try to build on, and sometimes you think you have it and then boom you find out maybe you did not. That’s where I find myself and while I’m not delving into specifics because it’s in the past, it hit home because I thought I knew the things I knew and I damn sure did not.
Sometimes those things happen though and you can’t really control what other people do or feel. In the end, you have to do what is right for yourself, and I say that in regard to anyone who reads this as well as myself. Eventually, you’ll find the right situations and they will be apparent to you when you arrive at them. I learned a long time ago to not rush things along because when you do that most of the time it doesn’t work out the way you’d hoped it would. I have watched people fall into some Enchantment with someone in the blink of an eye and then it goes sideways because they were too fixated to listen or understand. Patience is key and while it’s not for everyone, it’s right for me. My real-life niece Emma (she’s 1) has taught me that patience is never overrated because lord knows a 1-year-old works at their speed, whether you like it or not.
