James Bay – Peer Pressure [Ft. Julia Michaels]
This one’s a bit more, or well less, covered than the previous post. Still a collaboration but a different sort of one. Stef had the idea of doing this SL Photo Contest and I said yea sure why not. Needless to say I’ve dragging my feet because life is life. But we managed to carve out some free time and got it set. We had the idea for it loosely together and then I sat and watched the video below and it gave me a little of bit of extra inspiration when it came to the look I wanted to achieve.
Early on we decided the lighting for it needed to be enough to get the idea across without it being too head on. I’ve done shots similar in the past and it’s just more of the image I prefer to portray. Creative lighting that still gives you the idea without pixel porn on your feed is nice. It just so happened that the blues, purples, and whites from the video provided me a sort of canvas to work from. Getting it right took some time but once it was right, it was right. A few tweaks and some shots later and here we are.
On another note you all know what my stance has been on relationships since returning to the wonderful world of Second Life. I’ve said I’ve been done with many things and most of those have stayed true. Relationships probably would have as well, but Stef managed to change my mind. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for her because I wasn’t going to budge, but in the end she won. That being said I am off the market, without ever having been on it.
Thus far it’s been pretty nice and I think it will continue to be. Our small circle gets along well and that definitely played a role in it, because that’s important to me. There might have been a bit of poking and prodding from certain people too. But they know I needed to figure out what I wanted on my own time. Thanks for understanding So expect to see more collaborations and the like because it’s likely that neither one of us is going anywhere any time soon. ❤
I know this is a shorter post than what I’ve been doing but there’s a lot coming down the line so fear not. Now this contest is reliant on votes and time is definitely ticking because I suck and am slow. But if you like how it came out, go and give it a vote if you wouldn’t mind. Credits are below though I’m not sure how much they’ll really give you cause let’s be honest there isn’t much clothing in this post. Next up I’m gonna shoot for a solo Lucky post that’s been cooking for a bit, I just need to get my ass in gear and shoot the shot for it. Soon TM. -L
