I Took The Plunge

After all of my hemming and hawing, going back forth over and over I finally did it. I bought a mesh head. I would have never seen this day coming. I didn’t want to lose my individuality and all of that stuff. I don’t know whether or not I’ll use it ALL of the time, but it’s most likely going to be my look for my ROIAF character Baylin Glover.

Justin, the new mesh head from Catwa Clip is a fabulous head. I had tried Jackson previously and it just didn’t fit me right, so I waited for the next offering. This one was way more suited to my overall look and style and even convinced Portia pretty quickly. (Believe me that was something I did not expect.) Now I could go on and on about all of the details but I would never do a better video explanation then Strawberry Singh did, so I shall share that with you all. Please do give her a like and comment if you enjoy it. It’s a lot of work doing those. She also did a killer blog post on  the more specific things regarding Justin.

I started out by trying to find the right skin applier to suit me. Being that I am guy, and that this is a new head, the options were a bit smaller then they would be if I was a woman. We know the drill by now, there just isn’t as much for men. It just so happened that David Cooper of L’Etre was working on an applier (Ian) at the very moment I needed one. Once I saw it was available I popped over to try it. After a second opinion from the wife I decided to go forward with it. It is now one of two skin appliers I’ll be using. The one I’m featuring today though is Arthur from Bold & Beauty x L’Etre. Normally Bold & Beauty does female skins so Catwa applier is made to work along with L’Etre’s body appliers and skins. I think it’s a really neat idea that to see that kind of collaboration on a skin. It’s the first time I’ve come across it and hopefully we see it more often.

Both the Arthur applier and the Ian applier utilize the same skin tones (Pearl, Cotton, Buttermilk, Golden, Sandy, Chocolate, & Sienna) so if you have the Slink/TMP/Omega body appliers from L’Etre then either applier will match you! I highly recommend trying them both, remember demos are very important if you’re new to trying these. Heads will look different with different appliers as well as with how your shape is. Three different sliders can change the head as well, those being Head Size, Head Length and Head Stretch. So demo it, play with sliders, try different appliers, then make your decision. Shop smart!
