When Good Things Happen

Have you ever had one of those days where things just do not seem to work? Then something happens that you were not expecting and that surprise just makes it all worthwhile. That has been my last two days…

I’ve always blogged whatever I’ve found that I either love or use regularly. I’ve never done it to gain anything or make a name for myself. I truly enjoy the time I put into things here at Mask And Mien. Watching it all grow over the past six months has been amazing. I know Portia has worked exceptionally hard on her end as well. We reached a pretty big milestone here just a few days ago – 10,000 views. I know we both greatly appreciate the love from everyone who’s ever read a post, looked at a picture, or just popped by in passing.

I felt inspired today to try something a little different for me. I’ve been trying to be a bit artistic with things, push my skills, and learn new things. It’s clearly a work in progress but I’m quite happy with the early results. I told you there would be more items from BakaBoo the other didn’t I? Well wait no longer, I give you the Ferosh Coat. I LOVE the combination of patterns and colors on this piece. Portia even mentioned to me that she would totally wear a dress that had them on it. Maybe someday she’ll get that chance?

I was in a really peppy all around good mood tonight so when I was thinking of what to do for my shot I remembered Portia using the E.V.E confetti ring for her blog post, which you can find HERE! I picked them up myself as well at this month’s round of We Love Roleplay (it’s open through 2/29!) The modifiable pack made it super easy to work with since I could tint them any color I wanted. The only thing picture doesn’t show you is how amazing they look in motion. The texture is animate and looks so cool as it moves around the rings. This gif doesn’t even do it justice since the colors looked a bit washed out but check it out anyway!

On a personal side of things, I’m proud to announce that I will now be blogging for two wonderful brands. That’s right I am officially part of the teams for BakaBoo and Nivaro Male Skins. It is really exciting to have the opportunity work with both of these amazing creators. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled, there will be newness from Nivaro very very soon!
